STATE HEALTH OFFICIALS WARN AGAINST DISEASES SPREAD BY TICKS

It’s that time of year:  Maryland health officials are reminding residents across the state to be cautious when going outside to guard against diseases from ticks.  The disease most often spread by ticks in Maryland Is Lyme disease.  Anyone who thinks they may have been bitten by an infected tick should contact their doctor or local health department.  Antibiotics are often used to treat Lyme disease.
