The Goodwill Volunteer Fire Company is looking to raise a quarter million dollars, to help toward the purchase of a new tanker to replace the company’s current unit, which is approximately 33 years old. Goodwill’s share of the funding is about one-fourth of the share of the grant for $975,000. Goodwill averages about $3,000 from each of its fundraisers, that include raffles, chicken barbeques, and events with live music.
