W.V. TWIN TODDLERS IN CRITICAL CONDTION AFTER BEING PADLOCKED IN BEDROOM

Ripley, West Virginia authorities say a set of two-year-old twin boys are in critical condition after they were found locked in a room for weeks at a time.  The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department says they were notified about a possible child neglect case after one of the twins was brought to a hospital this week in a state of “extreme” malnutrition and dehydration.  The sheriff says when deputies arrived at the twins’ home, they found the boys were kept padlocked in a “very soiled” bedroom and wearing nothing but diapers for up to six weeks at a time.  Three adults living in the home are being charged with neglect.
