Cumberland resident Abree Braithwaite has been charged with second-degree assault, following an incident last Friday evening in the 400-block of Race Street. She is accused of assaulting a man, charging at him and scratching his neck. His injuries were consistent with his account and Ms. Braithwaite was arrested. After signing her copy of the summons, she was released pending trial.
