A change of plans for the city of Cumberland’s Engineering Department…South Mechanic Street will NOT be closed to thru traffic today; the original plan was to close the street, between Baltimore Street and Pershing Street, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will still be flagging operations withing the Mechanic Streete/Baltimore Street intersection, and motorists should expect delays. The city also does not anticipate any water service interruptions today. Additional information will be released with further press releases on road closures when a rescheduled date has been determined.
