BAY BRIDGE GETS FIRST REAL TEST THIS WEEKEND

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Maryland is in for its first big test this Memorial Day weekend. A new automated system for managing lanes will be fully up and running since going live in December. It features signs, lights, lane markings and 22 swinging gates. Officials gathered there yesterday to remind drivers to be patient as more than 300-thousand cars are expected to cross from today through Monday, most heading to beach resorts.
