The number of Marylanders seeking unemployment benefits continues to drop. The U.S. Labor Department says about 17-hundred first-time jobless claims came in last week. That’s about 250 fewer than the previous week. Nationally, new claims rose by four-thousand, but analysts had been expecting a much higher number.
