MARYLAND DELEGATION ANNOUNCES CYBERSECURITY FUNDING

Maryland’s Congressional delegation has announced more than six-point-five-million-dollars in federal funding to help strengthen the state’s cybersecurity infrastructure.  The funding will help to address vulnerabilities within the state’s cybersecurity infrastructure to better defend against attacks and prevent attacks before they happen. The lawmakers say increased cyberattacks on Maryland schools, hospitals and state and local government agencies have exposed personal information and threatened national security and the need for strong cybersecurity infrastructure is greater than ever.
