ANTOLINI RESIGNS FROM W.V. PUBLIC BROADCASTING

The resignation of Carl “Butch” Antolini was accepted earlier this week by the West Virginia Educational Broadcasting Authority. Antolini, a former reporter for the Cumberland Times-News, submitted his resignation during a virtual emergency meeting. Antolini and the Public Broadcasting Group came under fire when a reporter leveled accusations of abuse in state-run facilities. The state department of Health and Human Resources had demanded a retraction. The reporter was fired; at the time, Antolini denied political interference, saying much of the information about the story was inaccurate.
