A state lawmaker who wants to see Pennsylvania have a Prescription Drug Affordability Board says the idea is supported by 87-percent of people who answered a recent survey. Democratic Representative Dan Frankel is sponsoring the legislation. He says results from the June survey of nearly 16-hundred state voters also found that 68-percent of them say prescription drug prices are “somewhat unaffordable.” His proposed regulatory body would be made up of legislators and experts and would provide oversight on questionable drug management practices. The board would also review drug costs and decide on a price cap for those prescriptions.
