A Frederick County man has pleaded guilty to the sexual exploitation of a child. Twenty-three-year-old Jose Alexander Diaz-Rodriguez broke into a neighbor’s home in 2021, crawled into the bed where an eight-year-old was sleeping and took explicit photos of her. He ran from the home after the girl’s mother heard a noise and saw him. A search of Diaz-Rodriguez home and cell phone led to more than one-thousand images of child sex abuse. If the Court accepts the plea agreement, Diaz-Rodriguez will be sentenced to 18-years in federal prison in November.
