A new national database that tracks drug overdose fatalities shows Baltimore leads the nation in the number of deaths from overdoses. The San Francisco Chronicle developed the database that shows there are a little more than 174 deaths per 100-thousand residents in Baltimore. The data came from the CDC’s public health database. The report shows more than a million people in America have died from overdoses since 1999.
