A man died late Sunday afternoon at Deep Creek Lake in an accident, which occurred when he fell from an inner tube while being towed by a boat. The lake was searched by divers from Garrett and Preston counties; the body was recovered Monday morning, and the identity of the victim has not been released. The victim was not wearing a life jacket when the accident occurred. On the scene for the recovery operation were representatives from the DNR, after being alerted by the Garrett County 911 Center.
