FOUR-DAY WORK WEEK PROPOSED IN PENNSYLVANIA

A new bill to create a four-day work week will soon be introduced in the Pennsylvania legislature.  It would require businesses – but only those with more than 500 employees — to reduce their weekly load from 40 to 32 hours. Sponsoring lawmaker Rep. G. Roni Green of Philadelphia says the current time period started 85 years ago when society was much different. She says a shorter work week would let people have more time for rest and family, as well as renewing both physical and mental health.
