DEPORTED MAN ADMITS TO ILLEGALLY REENTERING THE COUNTRY

In Somerset County, a man from the Dominican Republic who had previously been deported from the U.S. only to later illegally return has admitted to the crime.  Fifty-year-old Rudys Torres pleaded guilty to the charge on Thursday and now faces the possibility of a quarter-of-a-million dollar fine, up to 20 years in prison or both.  His sentencing has been scheduled for later this year.
