MDTA EXPECTS 350,000 VEHICLES TO CROSS BAY BRIDGE THIS WEEKEND

The Maryland Transportation Authority is expecting that more than 350-thousand vehicles will cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge over the Labor Day holiday so travelers should plan ahead. There will likely be bridge delays during peak travel hours so the best times to cross the bridge will be before 8 a.m. and after 10 p.m. The MDTA also reminds drivers that the Bay Bridge uses lane signals to indicate when lanes are open, closed or preparing to close.
