Former West Virginia nurse Michelle Michael is requesting a new trial after being convicted of first-degree murder and arson in the death of her husband, Jimmy, formerly of Cumberland. Michelle Michael is claiming ineffective counsel in the 2007 trial. She was sentenced to 15 years at the time, and would be eligible for parole in June of 2027.
