STATE CORPORATE TAXES OUTWEIGH SALES, USE TAXES FOR AUGUST

Newly-released figures from the Department of Revenue show funds collected in August were pretty much on target for what financial forecasters had expected. Pennsylvania collected two-point-nine-billion dollars in General Fund revenue last month. That was a little over 27-million-dollars less than anticipated. However, August revenues for 2023 show an increase of 34-and-a-half-million-dollars, a little over one-percent, over the same time last year.
