President Biden will deliver a “major economic speech” in Maryland today. Economic advisor Jared Bernstein told reporters today the president will lay out the contrast between his economic policies and “trickle down” policies pushed by Republicans. This comes after new data from the Labor Department shows inflation rose slightly last month. The Consumer Price Index rose point-six percent in August, and increased three-point-seven percent over the last 12 months.
