MARYLAND HEALTH CREATES PLAN TO REDUCE SUICIDES

Suicide is the 12th leading cause of death nationwide.  That’s why the Maryland Department of Health has unveiled a new suicide prevention toolkit, summit and trainings.  The “Together We Care” summit is set for September 28th and will include people from each jurisdiction statewide.  Additionally, health officials have released the 2023 Suicide Prevention Month Toolkit which is available for all Marylanders.  Maryland’s Behavioral Health Administration will host the Annual Suicide Prevention Conference next month.  All of the details can be found at the state’s website.
