DROUGHT CONDITIONS PERSIST ACROSS MARYLAND

Parts of Maryland are in some degree of drought.  According to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor map, small sections of Frederick and Washington counties are in severe drought.  Moderate drought is reported in larger areas of those counties, along with Carroll, Howard, Montgomery, Allegany and Garrett counties.  Other parts of the state west of the Chesapeake Bay are experiencing abnormally dry conditions, including a small section of Baltimore County.
