The city of Cumberland is accepting candidates for two city council seats, open for re-election in 2024. The deadline to file at the city clerk’s office is February 9th of next year. The term will be four years, beginning January 7, 2025. A candidate must be 21-years-old at the time of his or her election; a citizen of the United States; and, a resident of the city of Cumberland for one year immediately preceding his or her election.
