MINERAL OFFICIALS DROP OBSCENITY LAW IDEA

After nearly two months after it was originally proposed, Mineral County officials have decided to drop the idea of any new obscenity ordinances that would monitor displays at public events and parades. Other counties, according to Commissioner “Dutch” Staggs are moving forward with the idea, with Jefferson County recently adopting such an ordinance. The anti-obscenity ordinance would apply to any type of public show, display or entertainment, including behavior during a public parade or public “drag” performance.
