Pharmacy chain Rite Aid says it’s now focusing on a restructuring plan that will close about 30 under performing stores across Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia-based company says its decision to file for bankruptcy Sunday will affect about 500 stores across the country. About 21-hundred of its pharmacies also will be closed. Officials say the bankruptcy decision was made due to lawsuits that alleged pharmacies oversupplied opioids. Rite Aid says it will transfer employees at stores that will be closed to other locations, where possible.
