STATE USING FEDERAL FUNDS TO EXPAND HIGH-SPEED INTERNET

The state Maryland is using 69-million-dollars from the federal government to help bring more affordable high speed Internet access to Maryland residents.  The money will be used by two programs that will provide high speed Internet to over 15 thousand underserved households.  The programs that will administer the funds are Home Stretch for Public Housing and Home Stretch for Difficult to Serve Properties.  Governor Wes Moore says the state is grateful for the federal efforts to close the digital divide.
