PA. WIRETAP LAWS MIGHT BE EXPANDED

Pennsylvania’s wiretap laws would be extended six years under a measure that passed the state House this week. House Bill 1278 would extend the law from the end of this year until the end of 2029. It would also expand it to allow state parole agents and Department of Corrections officers to wear body cameras. They could also legally record phone conversations.  The measure additionally would let people who are targets of telemarketers legally record their phone calls with solicitors.
