PA. SENATE LEADERS SAY NEW DATE SHOULD BE SET FOR MARCH PRIMARY

The Pennsylvania Senate Republican Majority leader insists that if the state primary is moved for 2024, the new date should be in March.  Senate Majority Leader Joe Pittman, a Republican from Indiana has notified Governor Josh Shapiro that Senate Republicans have no intention of moving a House-passed bill.  Meanwhile, the County Commissioners Association says there is no longer enough time for counties to handle the tasks associated with moving next year’s primary election from the current date. Right now, it’s still set for April 23rd.
