Mayor Steve Williams of Huntington filed preliminary candidacy paperwork to run for Governor. Williams had been talking about the potential run for quite a few weeks. The mayor says a lot of the same issues plaguing the state are similar to what he faced when he first ran for Mayor in Huntington. The Democrat says his focus will be on fixing funding for higher education, the foster care system, the corrections system and the operations of the state police.
