PA. STATE RESOLUTION WILL  STUDY POSSIBLE CORRELATION BETWEEN SOCIAL

MEDIA, GUN VIOLENCE

The Pennsylvania State House is set to vote on a resolution that would study the relationship between social media platforms and the current rise in gun violence.  Philadelphia Representative Darisha Parker’s legislation would direct the Budget and Finance Committee to study the possible correlation and then generate a report. The study will have recommendations on staunching inciteful content, while exploring ways social media companies can remove dangerous content.
