Governor Wes Moore says the state of Maryland will invest 67-point-5-million dollars in the redevelopment of Harborplace. He made the announcement during the second annual Baltimore Together summit regarding MCB Real Estate’ plans to revitalize the waterfront area of the Inner Harbor. The governor says it isn’t just about redefining a cultural landmark, it’s about how the narrative of a city is rewritten. The proposed redevelopment for Harborplace includes new promenades, a residential tower, retail space and a park. Moore says the investment is about ensuring that the state’s largest city claims its rightful place in the American story. He says for this to be Maryland’s decade, it has to be Baltimore’s time.
