Maryland is two weeks away from opening applications for more marijuana dispensaries. Right now, there are 101 with licenses. This next round will add 75, with 40 going to Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, along with Baltimore City. Leaders are being warned to be reasonable when considering using zoning to restrict the businesses. State law allows a ban near schools, daycares, libraries and parks.
