TRANSPORTATION OFFICIALS URGE DRIVERS TO FOLLOW RULES OF THE ROAD

Maryland transportation officials are asking drivers to rededicate themselves to road safety.  The message comes as new preliminary data shows 40 people died in Maryland in October as a result of motor vehicle crashes.  So far in 2023, there have been 500 fatalities, a seven percent increase compared to the same time last year.  At the current rate, Maryland is on pace to record more than 600 deadly crashes in a year for the first time since 2007.
