Opening statements are expected today in the federal perjury trial of former Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby. Twelve jurors and four alternates were selected to hear the case on Thursday. Mosby is accused of lying to get a COVID hardship withdrawal from a city retirement account to buy vacation homes. She will face a separate trial on federal charges of making false statements on mortgage applications to get better interest rates. No date has been set for that trial.
