GCPS FACING SHORTAGE OF MILK CARTONS

As is the case in Allegany County and across the nation. Garrett County Public Schools are facing a shortage of milk cartons. About 60 per cent of the orders currently placed will be filled. Currently, they have a secondary supplier of milk in 8-ounce cartons, and it is hoped they will be able to continue to supplement the supply until the shortage is resolved. The overall shortage may, however, lead to the school system to consider alternatives to milk, such as juice or water.
