PROSECUTION, DEFENSE MAKE CLOSING ARGUMENTS IN MOSBY TRIAL

The prosecution and defense teams in the trial of former State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby made their closing arguments yesterday.  The prosecution argued Mosby falsely claimed her travel business suffered financial hardships during the pandemic, forcing her to take out money from her city retirement account.  Prosecutors said she actually used the money for two homes in Florida.  Mosby’s defense team claimed her travel business was devastated by the pandemic.  Mosby decided not to testify on her own behalf.
