SKATE PARK TO BE BUILT THIS SPRING

The city’s new skate park is expected to be built this spring; two years ago, it was determined the Mason Sports Complex in South Cumberland would be a suitable location for the facility. Funding has come from the city of Cumberland, in the amount of $10,000 initially; Allegany County committed a quarter-million to the city to seed the skate park project. Additionally, the city added another $325,000 for City Administrator Jeff Silka to begin planning and design of the Cumberland Skate Park.
