JOEY SAGAL II, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF MTA, DIES AT 44

The executive director for the Maryland Transportation Authority — Joey Sagal the Third — has died.  Sagal was 44 when he died October 26th.  Sagal was also a longtime volunteer firefighter for companies’ in Carroll and Baltimore Counties.  Before his appointment to be executive director last August, Sagal was MTA’s chief operating officer.  He worked in government transportation agencies since 1998.  As a volunteer firefighter, Sagal received citations for rescues in Baltimore County.  He was a swift water and confined space rescuer.  He also worked for the Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company for 13 years.  `
