ROUTE 219 MEETING SET FOR TODAY

A meeting has been set for today in Salisbury, Pennsylvania, to update the public on plans to extend U.S. Route 219 as a four-lane highway from Meyersdale to Maryland. The meeting takes place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department. The project is at the end of the preliminary design stage and the goal is to begin construction in 2028. Highway officials from both Pennsylvania and Maryland will be on hand to answer questions and receive comments about the project.
