Cumberland resident Shawn Patrick Tallman has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the beating death of a 90-year-old man in the area of New Hampshire Avenue last Thursday. Tallman allegedly punched the man in the face, and the victim’s condition worsened, and he died of his injuries last Saturday. A Grand Jury reviewed the case and Tallman was charged. He continues to be held at the Allegany County Detention Center.
