A group of conservative state lawmakers in Pennsylvania has filed a federal lawsuit against changes that would expand voter registration. Twenty-four state Republicans are challenging the legality of a 2021 executive order by President Biden. It orders federal agencies to consider ways to expand access to voter registration as well as information about voting. The suit also challenges a state-level action where Governor Josh Shapiro introduced automatic voter registration last fall.
