The Appalachian Regional Commission federal co-chair, Gayle Manchin remains in an Alabama hospital. She was involved in an auto accident on Monday while traveling with her colleague Guy Land in Birmingham. They were in town for an ARC grant workshop. The wife of Senator Joe Manchin is listed in stable condition and expected to remain in the hospital as a precaution.
