MOMS DEMAND ACTION AS GUN SAFETY ADVOCATES RALLY IN ANNAPOLIS

The Maryland chapter of Moms Demand Action rallied in Annapolis Tuesday, calling for more gun safety legislation. Moms and other advocates like Students Demand Action are calling on lawmakers to pass legislation to hold the gun industry accountable for their role in fueling the gun violence epidemic. In addition they are supporting Governor Wes Moore’s proposed legislation to create the first-ever, state Center for Firearm Violence Prevention and Intervention. Those taking part in the annual Advocacy Day rally say Maryland has the eighth strongest gun laws in the country, but there is more work to be done to keep communities safe from gun violence.
