PENN STATE PLANS FOR $94 MILLION IN CUTS

Penn State University will have 94-million-dollars less to spend in its 2025-2026 budget. Officials say the planned decrease could include cuts for Commonwealth Campuses’ central budgets. That would be a little over 14 percent less than they currently receive. Other planned cuts include 29-million for administrative and student support units and 11-million at University Park colleges. The university’s board of trustees will have to formally approve any plans, which they might do at their next meetings set for February 15th and 16th.
