POTOMAC STATE PRESIDENT RESIGNS

The President of Potomac State College, Chris Gilmer, has resigned. Gilmer was named the permanent president of the college after his appointment in an interim capacity in April of 2022. Potomac State has been in a state of turmoil for several months, with much of the controversy centering on Gilmer’s chief of staff, Brady Whipkey. He allegedly has failed to act on faculty proposals, when it comes to academic advising equity, workload equity, and proposed revisions to the PSC Promotion and Tenure guidelines.
