RESCUE SQUAD SECRETARY SENTENCED

Accident resident Nancy Kay Savage was recently sentenced to a five-year prison term for a theft scheme in which she stole money from the Northern Rescue Squad. She had previously been found guilty of a theft scheme in excess of $100,000. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison, suspending 15 years. Ms. Savage’s failure to attempt to repay the funds and her lack of remorse were two reasons for the multi-year sentence. Upon release, she will be required to pay restitution in the amount of $139,949 to the Rescue Squad, as a condition of probation.
