GOVERNOR SHAPIRO PITCHES $15 MINIMUM WAGE DURING BUDGET ADDRESS

Governor Josh Shapiro is pitching a major wage hike for Pennsylvania’s lowest-paid workers.  The governor drew a standing ovation when he suggested a 15-dollar state minimum wage during his budget address yesterday.  Pennsylvania’s minimum wage has remained at seven-25 an hour for the last 15 years.  Shapiro calls that pay rate “anticompetitive”, adding that he believes it is hurting the state’s workers.
