The Maryland House of Delegates has passed its version of a budget for next fiscal year. Passing on a vote of 122-to-8, the spending package includes new taxes and fees to pay for transportation and education costs. The state Senate approved its budget last week, but without any tax or fee hikes. That means the two sides must hammer out their differences in a conference committee before the budget is sent to Governor Wes Moore ahead of the April 8th deadline.
