There’s a new law in Tennessee that aims to protect music artists from artificial intelligence. Govenor Bill Lee joined members of the music industry on Lower Broadway on Friday to sign the “ELVIS” Act. It adds voice to the rights that are protected under the state’s publicity laws. The legislation is meant to stop the distribution of AI-generated voices that are meant to sound like real people.
