PORT OF BALTIMORE TO BE CLOSED FOR WEEKS

Maryland officials say it could take weeks for the Port of Baltimore to reopen as crews begin the massive effort of clearing the wreckage from last week’s bridge collapse.  The largest crane on the East Coast is being used to help clear the debris.  Maryland Governor Wes Moore on Saturday said the north sections of the bridge are going to be cut up and removed, which will “eventually allow us to open up a temporary restricted channel” that will help to get more ships around the site of the collapse.  Authorities are also searching for four victims of the bridge collapse, who they believe are trapped in the wreckage.
