In Somerset County, charges have been filed against four individuals in connection with the overdose death of a 2-year-old boy. The child was pronounced dead after being taken, unresponsive, to UPMC Somerset Hospital in 2022. Test results show he had fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and the veterinary tranquilizer xylazine in his system. The Somerset County D.A. on Wednesday announced charges including involuntary manslaughter against Jeremy Chaney, Lauren Livengood, Linda Pape and Rusty Koval who all had lived in the home with the boy. The D.A. says each of the defendants knew about the ongoing drug activity in the home that led to the victim’s death.
